What is The Flying Disc Program?
One for Health’s Flying Disc Program is a national partnership-based program that allows businesses of all types and sizes to promote a healthy lifestyle in a meaningful way. With so much inaccurate and misleading information about what it takes to be healthy circulating online – and the COVID-19 pandemic shining a spotlight on the importance of staying healthy – it’s crucial to make sure your employees get the right education around nutrition, fitness, and overall wellness.
The program is based around the sale of flying discs (often called by the commonly known name Frisbee™). When a business chooses to partner with One for Health, they will receive their preferred quantity of flying discs. Each disc will be branded with their company’s logo and includes a two-sided printed document that provides nutritional information and the benefits of increased physical activity. In this sense, it provides employees with a convenient and fun way to get active – throwing and gaming with the disc!
How does this help One for Health fulfill their mission statement?
For every five discs bought by a company, One for Health will be donating one disc to the company’s most local Boys and Girls Club or other organization of their choice. In addition to distributing these discs, One for Health hopes to begin partnering with the Boys and Girls Club or named group by implementing their educational programming there to reach kids who can benefit from learning its core focus - developing individual wellness strategies for life. One for Health prides itself in having long standing relationships with dozens of Boys and Girls Clubs across the country but is always looking to expand its reach and positively impact more kids. With the help of small and large businesses across the country, One for Health will be able to approach new clubs with both a donation and educational offerings to begin a working relationship.
How much does it cost?
Each disc is priced at $2 – considerably lower than the cost of other branded discs and $.50 from each disc purchased goes to OFH to help it develop and expand its wellness programs featuring yoga and nutrition for kids around the country. Bulk orders for larger groups are readily available and encouraged, as bulk orders help more kids and ultimately generates more funds for OFH to keep the program expanding. The minimum order size is 250 units.
