Testimonials

Heidi Robbins, winner of the "Andover Challenge."

“I spend much of my time assisting people with chronic diseases that reduce quality of life and lead to early demise. Tragically, many of those conditions are preventable. With early attention to principles of healthy lifestyle, I firmly believe that many of the patients we see in the clinic and hospital would not require the expensive and invasive interventions that are so common in America today. Accordingly, I applaud One For Health Foundation for its efforts to assist young people in establishing healthy lifestyles early on and I hope that their programs will become widespread.”

Assistant Professor of Medicine, Harvard Medical School

“My mission is to empower children, parents and teachers to use the power of their minds to create healthier bodies and a more peaceful world. Partnering with One for Health Foundation enables me to bring this work to children who would not otherwise have access to this information. Their dedication and commitment to make a difference is palpable and contagious. It is an honor to work with them.”

“I was fortunate enough to work with Tom & Bruce during the very early planning stages of One For Health Foundation where I was able to experience first hand their passion and knowledge about health in our society. It is both admirable and impressive that they have chosen to direct their passion toward the betterment of our communities and most specifically our youth. Their depth of commitment towards empowerment for better health is inspiring!”

“In an age where children’s wellness absolutely needs to become a high priority, it is wonderful to be affiliated with an organization such as the One For Health Foundation that is not only putting that at the forefront, but also removing the barriers to providing much needed services and incentives.”

“Classroom yoga supports our students’ ability to self- regulate.  Teachers also benefit through learning new strategies that promote a healthy learning environment.”

Brian O’Donoghue
Principal at Bessie Buker Elementary School

“I wanted to share with you how wonderful it has been to have you as part of my monthly schedule.  My students get very excited when they know you are at Buker for Yoga.  You have given them all the gift of using a variety of techniques (yoga poses) to adjust their “engine” for many different learning experiences.  They use these poses to calm themselves when they have too much energy or to wake themselves up when they are feeling low energy.  During yoga I am amazed at how quiet and relaxed you have the children and how they know just what is expected!  You radiate positive energy and they feed off of that!  Look forward to your next visit."

Teacher at Bessie Buker Elementary School

"I think OFH is a much needed program for kids, their parents and their teachers. Having been a teacher in the inner city, I supplied snacks for kids every day. They were not as healthy as these, I am sure. I bought them in bulk at Costco and Sam’s Club. As an example, I noticed that one of my High School students had lost a lot of weight. When I asked him about it, he told me that he only had peanut butter at home to eat. I had many homeless students in my classes. I also had many students who were a part of Boys and Girls Club. This organization was a strong community for them.
Congratulations to you, OFH !"
