Core Programs and Workshops
One for Yoga is a unique program designed to teach, inspire and empower young adults to live a conscious, healthy, and active life. This program covers relaxation techniques, yoga postures (and how they help your body, mind, and spirit), choice-making, and nutritional information. Although centered on kids, it is fun and informative for all age group. This program will create an opportunity for children to discover ways to achieve well-being from within through these various techniques: breath work, mindfulness exercise, yoga postures, nutrition, conscious communication, and finding one’s purpose.
Catch Your Dream is a program designed by Certified Life Coach, Maureen Weisner, to identify and develop those skills fundamental to successful goal-setting as it relates to personal and academic success. In a detailed, step-by-step process, she works with students and adults to begin thinking beyond the confines of accepted wisdom and toward deeper exploration of their dreams. This workshop is designed for children and adults, and will teach individuals how to: plan, lead, collaborate, connect with their BIG dreams, share the dream, enroll allies/ask for help, create goals (not traps) in the exploration process, develop listening skills to think big, observe commonalities and differences, and creatively solve problems.
Nutrition 101: Food for Fuel will let students see how food can help build them up, get better grades and be fit, or do the opposite and take away from being their best. We instill the food basic building-blocks to start the foundation for life, and educate them on the importance of food choices to create a healthy future. Label reading activities and more.
Good Vibrations is designed to help children recognize the basics of being happy. It will teach them about energy, bring awareness to their thoughts, and make them aware they have control of their lives. It encourages them to elevate themselves to make better choices, know they can manage their thoughts, and excel to their fullest potential while increasing confidence and self-esteem.
Calming - Ants in Your Pants will teach students techniques to reduce stress that leads to anxiety and learn to recognize where they hold stress in their body. They will become familiar with meditation and breathing techniques, as well as, discover how to calm themselves, and manage stress in healthy ways.
Toxins: At the Core of Wellness provides an overview of the true impact of toxins in our lives and work. What are they? Where are they? How do they affect us? This is a vitally important discussion of the central and misunderstood role of toxins (including stress) in affecting overall wellness. Presentation led by Michelle Corey, of Boston Biofeedback, and Bruce Campelia, Executive Director of One for Health Foundation. For adults and young adults.
Conscious Living- Enlightened Wellness is a program designed to bring awareness to everyday lifestyle habits and addresses all aspects of well-being: body, mind, and spirit. It is intended to encourage participants to deepen their self-care by learning about the core elements that have an effect on aging and maintaining health. This is a holistic journey into wellness encompassing nutrition, stress, habits, and mindfulness to help bring balance and greater life satisfaction. For adults and young adults.
